    Bow Valley Ranche Restaurant is thrilled to announce the arrival of its new Executive Chef, Antonio de Angelis, who brings his exceptional talent and diverse experience to the table. De Angelis joins BVR with over 20 years’ experience in perfecting the art of classical cuisine at a number of fine dining restaurants in Canada, Switzerland and Italy. The iconic “La Chaumiere” Restaurant in Calgary was his most recent and longest culinary experience where he worked as executive sous-chef for almost a decade.

    We interviewed incredible chefs and invested much time and effort into ensuring that the person who fills this role is truly up to the task and the right fit for our unique restaurant.

    Chef AntonioDe Angelis was born and raised in Italy. Coming from a touristic island in the Tyrrhenian Sea, he knew at a young age that he wanted to pursue his passion to become a professional chef. After graduation, he embraced his new career with excitement and worked at the renowned Hotel Mezzatorre in Forio d’Ischia – Italy. After a few years, his never ending pursue of culinary excellence led him to Switzerland where he worked in different renowned establishments and got another culinary certification from the federal cooking school in Lugano.

    Since 2010 he has been calling Calgary his home where he lives with his wife and 3 children.
